Week goals are included on Free. Month and year goals require Premium.

Steps

1. Open the Goals tab

Tap Goals on the bottom tab bar. Select Week, Month, or Year (Month/Year need Premium).

2. Create a week goal

Tap + Goal, enter your goal — e.g. Finish 5 articles, Work out 4 times. Set measurable criteria if the app supports metrics.

From Task detail, attach the related goal. Each completed task contributes to goal progress.

4. Track progress

The progress bar on the goal card updates with tasks. Review at week end — adjust next week's goals if too hard or too easy.

5. Month & year goals (Premium)

With Premium, create long-term goals — quarterly personal OKRs or year goals. Break down into week goals and specific tasks.

Mobile tips

  • Keep 2–3 week goals — focus beats 10 vague ones
  • Combine Habits for recurring behavior and Goals for measurable outcomes
  • Review goals when planning the week on Calendar (Premium)

Goals versus tasks and habits

A task is one action, a habit is a repeated behaviour and a goal is an outcome you want. "Work out four times this week" is a goal; the individual workouts are tasks or habit check-ins that move it forward. Seeing the goal keeps daily work connected to something that matters.

Writing a good goal

  • Be measurable. "Finish 5 articles" is clear. "Write more" is not.
  • Be realistic. A goal you cannot reach in a week teaches you to ignore goals.
  • Keep the number small. Two or three goals per week focus your effort.
  • Link tasks to it. Each completed linked task adds to the progress bar.

A worked example

Goal for the week: Finish 5 articles. Create five tasks, one per article, and attach each to the goal. As you complete them, the bar fills. On Friday, you see 4 of 5, so you move the last article to next week and ask yourself what slowed you down.

Week, month and year

Week goals are included in the Free plan. Month and year goals require Premium and work best when they are broken into weekly goals and tasks. See setting weekly, monthly and yearly goals for a full approach.

Common mistakes

  • Setting ten goals and finishing none.
  • Writing goals that cannot be measured.
  • Never reviewing. Look at your goals in your weekly review.
